Today we took my family down to Kiawah Island. Were we all swim at Beachwalker park and believe me we are all burnt to a crisp except my sister-in-law, Tabitha, she somehow escaped. I guess my grandmother did too now that I think about it. But moms freckles grew together, David has a big sunburn on his belly, my brother has the classic burn around his sunglasses, and let’s face it I’m a straight up lobster. Good times.
Last night I was so out of it. I wasn’t feeling well so I came home and took some p.m. cold medicine. After I took the medicine I started writing my blog but I don’t remember much of it because the medicine hit me like a ton of bricks. I remember feeling like I weighed 5000 pounds and just wanting to sleep.
Sleep off the congestion and the head pounding. But I honestly don’t remember much of last night so if my blog seemed abrupt, or had lots of spelling errors please forgive me. We all get colds. Mine just happened to have the unfortunate consequence of coming at the same time as my family’s visiting.
Today was probably my favorite day so far. We were all able to laugh, relax, and just enjoy being in each other’s company. Family time. My mom and I even tried to paddleboard but we did not succeed. However it was so fun to see her have an adventure. I missed laughing with my mom.
After Kiawah, we drove to another beach that is a lot closer to our house. I’ve blogged about it before and it’s a pretty well known area especially for its large and spacious pier. Yes, I’m am talking about the one and only Folly Beach. It was so beautiful to be able to watch the sun go down over the water.
We concluded our evening at a local restaurant called Rita’s were we enjoyed great food and live music.
Life is good right now. Unfortunately my brothers last day is tomorrow and then he and his wife are off to finish there vacation in San Antonio, Texas. I will be sad to see him go but glad that he and Tabitha will have time together.
Well off to put more lotion on my sunburn!
